In Social AI group, you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of the exciting fields of affective computing, behaviour understanding, social signal processing, and social human-robot interaction with leading researchers in the field.

PhD Opportunities
Scholarships offered by the University of Glasgow:
SOCIAL AI Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT): The UKRI CDT funds 15 PhD students every year. Prof Alessandro Vinciarelli is director of the CDT, and all academics of the Social AI Group are can supervise CDT students. You would need to apply through the Social AI CDT website. Usual deadline: April every year
University of Glasgow and the School of Computing Science have a number of PhD scholarships available. More info about the application process can be found here. Usual deadline: 31st January every year.
Other PhD opportunities: Industry co-funded studentships, prestigious awards (e.g. Carnegie Fund), country-specific funding, etc. We can help you identify the right funding source.

Postdoc Opportunities
There are a variety of funding sources for post-doctoral appointments, so please do get in touch if you are interested in joining the group even if no positions are opened. We can also support you to apply for independent postdoctoral fellowships, such as from Leverhulme Trust and Royal Society.
